ATLANTA – Dec. 6, 2016 – IO Education, a market leader in helping educators in all roles use data to improve outcomes, has been recognized with two prestigious industry awards for its products that support student achievement.
ComputEd Gazette announced IO Insights as its 2016 EDDIE award winner for the competitive category of District-Wide Data Access Website as part of its 21st Annual Education Software Review Awards. This award was followed by recognition from District Administration of IO Classroom as the winner of its 2016 Top 100 Products award, based on nominations of schools and districts. In addition to the win for IO Classroom, IO Insights also received an honorable mention from District Administration.
IO Insights is a district-wide data analytics solution that helps educators at all levels of the district securely analyze the data that they have access to in a manner that makes sense for their role. Teachers leverage the cutting edge virtual data wall, school and district leadership use multiple-measure metrics showing progress to defined goals as well as data drill-down data dashboards for high-level analysis and trend reporting. IO Classroom is an integrated classroom management platform that saves teachers significant time in the classroom by providing a single app for attendance, note behavior, manage assignments, record grades and updating student portfolios.
“Being recognized with not one but two well-respected industry awards is a big honor for the entire team at IO Education. We are working diligently to listen to our customers to help solve problems that have stood in the way of using data throughout schools and districts,” said Michael Williamson, chief executive officer at IO Education. “We are convinced that every educator from the teacher in the classroom to the leadership team at the central office should use data to improve student outcomes through thoughtfully designed, role-specific products.”
IO Education was formed in late 2015 by bringing together complementary student achievement products that improve educational outcomes for students, improve communication and engagement with parents and empower teachers to use data in their classrooms. In June 2016, IO Education acquired EADMS, a leading provider digital formative and interim assessments, to continue to integrate a suite of modular products that help improve educational outcomes.
