Customer Success Specialist

Come and be a part of our success – we are adding a Customer Success Specialist to our Team.The Customer Success Specialist will provide implementation and technical support to our customers. They are the first point of contact and support for clients before, during, and after their purchase as well as for Tier I technical support issues. They handle everything from payment processing to providing login, usage, and resolution for all sites.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Respond to help requests from participants through help desk calls and emails
  • Keep meticulous records of incoming and outgoing forms and documents
  • Take detailed phone messages and transcribe voicemails
  • Provide timely updates to customers, colleagues, and management on the status of outstanding case
  • Provide one-on-one support for users before, during, and after courses
  • Assist the team and manager as needed throughout the implementation process
  • Guide the payment tracking

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • Prior phone support experience
  • Experience using and troubleshooting Macs and PCs
  • Excellent customer support skills, written and verbal

SchoolCity helps public school districts across the country create their own success stories with revolutionary assessment, accountability and data management solutions. Based in California's Silicon Valley, SchoolCity has been working with schools nationally to increase student achievement since 1999. Our integrated product line warehouses critical data within a user-friendly dashboard system allowing teachers to enact change where it matters most: the classroom. Our team of educators and technologists apply a nuanced knowledge of teaching and learning to help over 700 districts turn data into action in their school improvement efforts. Position Description

Due to our tremendous growth SchoolCity is currently seeking a hardworking, accountable, and self-motivated individual with 1+ years experience who is willing to step up to the plate. K–12 experience is ideal, but if you have experience in software implementation in another industry, we are willing to consider that as well. Some travel may be required. This role is critical to the early engagement, happiness and longevity of our customers and will serve as a single point of contact as our customers begin their journey with SchoolCity.

Responsibilities

  • Gather information from customers regarding their needs and wants
  • Set up customers’ software purchases to contract specifications
  • Deliver excellent customer service:
    • Build rapport and make customers feel comfortable

    • Keep accurate records for other departments
    • Effectively manage your time and resources
  • Establish weekly check-in meetings with each implementing customer
  • Address, track and escalate customer issues that arise during implementation
  • Manage customer transition to Customer Care team and dedicated Account Manager once training and implementation is complete
  • Build trusting relationships with customers by earning their respect
  • Exhibit flexibility by launching programs from small pilot projects to large scale rollouts
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1+ years of K-12 Educational work experience
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully implementing software and managing projects
  • Strong computer skills
  • Customer Service mindset
  • Able to multitask on projects and tasks while working independently and efficiently
  • Self-motivated, perceptive, and organized
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to adapt to new processes and systems quickly, and identify opportunities for improvement
