Hardin Daniel joins IO Education as Vice President of Sales and Chief Marketing Officer, helping lead the company’s next critical phase of growth. With more than 25 years of experience in the education field, Hardin will lead sales, marketing and business development activities, building on the exceptional products and services proven in over 1000 schools across the country.
An expert in the effective use of data, Hardin has served on a variety of national and state education committees, working to develop secure, fair, and reliable evaluation systems for all stakeholders. In his new role at IO Education, Hardin will drive sales growth, increase market awareness and secure strategic partners in education and related industries. He will also play a critical role in the development of new features, products and services.
Hardin Daniel joins IO Education from Discovery Education, where he served as Vice President of Analytics, Research and Evaluation. He was responsible for Discovery Education’s assessment division providing educators with accurate performance data to inform instruction, increase educator effectiveness and maximize student achievement. Working closely with the Wallace Foundation and the nation’s top experts, Hardin was instrumental in establishing VAL-ED (the Vanderbilt Assessment of Leadership in Education) as the industry standard for a reliable and valid measurement of effective educational leadership.
An accomplished EdTech entrepreneur, Hardin collaboratively led ThinkLink Learning from early stage development through rapid growth and eventual acquisition by Discovery Education. Before ThinkLink, Hardin served as an award-winning educator teaching students from kindergarten through adults. Hardin gained valuable experience as principal of a K-12 school leading a critical school turnaround initiative revitalizing teachers, students, parents and the community.
Hardin received his B.S. from the University of Richmond and earned a M.Ed. and EMBA both from Vanderbilt University.
